Mercer‘s 2011 Quality of Living ranking lists Vienna as No.1!
Mercer compared 221 major cities all over the world, and due to the social and political unrest of varying degrees in many urban areas Mercer chosed „personal safety“ as a special topic of its 2011 ranking.
Mercer‘s understanding of „Quality of Living“ includes 10 key kategories, for example „Political and Social Environment“, „Consumer Goods“, „Medical and Health Considerations“, „Public Services and Transport“, „Housing“, etc.
New York (No.47) serves as the base city, and all other cities are ranked in relation to it.
